Blumhouse Games announced today that it has hired Amanda Kruse, formerly of Lionsgate and Big Fan Games, as its new vice president of business development. According to the company, Kruse’s new responsibilities are to “build and grow relationships with world-class multimedia partners in interactive entertainment.”
Kruse formerly worked as head of business development at the Devolver Digital’s Big Fan Games, a studio with a mandate towards turning film, show and comic IP into indie-style developer-led games. Before that, she was creative director for several games at Lionsgate’s games division, which she also co-founded.

Zach Wood, Blumhouse Games president, said in a statement, “Amanda’s deep understanding of games, her eye for transmedia storytelling, and her passion for pushing creative boundaries make her an ideal addition to Blumhouse. Her cross-media experience will help us continue to shape bold, distinctive interactive worlds.”
Kruse herself added, “Joining Blumhouse Games is an exciting next step. There’s so much creative energy in the horror space right now, and I’m excited to support original games that challenge, surprise and haunt players in all the best ways.” Kruse previously spoke at GamesBeat’s Hollywood & Games event in December 2024, at the panel, “Blurring Boundaries: The Convergence of Film, Music, TV, and Games.”
