JoyBits, the studio behind the award-winning Doodle God franchise, has announced Bouncemasters 2: Pengu Throw, the sequel to its physics-based penguin launcher arcade hit. The game will launch exclusively on Steam in Q4 2025, bringing Pengu’s slapstick antics to a multi-biome overworld with new competitive features.
The news also comes with a surprise gift for fans: the original Bouncemasters, which has been downloaded more than 300 million times on mobile, is now available on Steam as a completely free release. Unlike the mobile version, the PC edition strips out ads and microtransactions, giving players a streamlined experience.
In Bouncemasters 2: Pengu Throw, players guide the hapless penguin across a branching world map packed with self-contained levels, score targets, and hazards. The bear buddy returns with a new Swing Arc aiming aid, helping both newcomers and speedrunners nail their launch angles.
The sequel emphasizes progression and replayability. Seasonal league leaderboards pit players against global competitors, with a “hot-seat” ticker showing the closest rivals in real time. Monthly rewards include animated nameplates, booster packs, and exclusive skins, all earned through play with no monetization hooks.
Sharing is also baked into the experience. Players can export their most spectacular (or disastrous) launches as clips or GIFs with a single click, amplifying the game’s viral slapstick appeal.
On the visual side, the original has been upgraded to high-definition, hand-painted art designed for 4K displays, supported by real-time lighting, motion-blur splats, and uncapped framerates. PC-friendly features like rebindable keys, aim assist, and accessibility options such as color-blind modes round out the package.
Players can revisit Pengu’s quest to impress his dream girl, launching across snowy landscapes and bouncing off everything from walruses to mushrooms. The Steam version includes full language support in more than a dozen languages, including English, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, and Portuguese.
“Following the overwhelming success of Bouncemasters, launching today on PC as a gift to our long-time fans, we’re thrilled to reveal the next expansive chapter of Pengu’s journey,” said Mark Sergeyev, publishing manager at JoyBits. “Bouncemasters 2: Pengu Throw has everything you love about the series, and adds so much more.”
The original Bouncemasters became one of JoyBits’ breakout successes, riding mobile virality into hundreds of millions of downloads. By bringing the series to PC, JoyBits is positioning Pengu Throw as more than just a casual diversion—it’s aiming to carve out a community-driven, competitive space for arcade-style play.
With a seasonal league system, expanded customization, and a PC-first design, Bouncemasters 2 shows how JoyBits is adapting its mobile hits for the broader Steam audience, while testing whether slapstick physics can translate into long-term engagement and esports-style competition.
