One of the major reveals from Gamescom’s Opening Night Live event centered around the long-awaited sequel Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2. In addition to a new trailer, the game got a fresh release date: October 21, 2025. This is not the first time the game’s gotten a release date. In fact, it’s had several — and an almost equal number of delays. However, Paradox Interactive and The Chinese Room seem determined to get Bloodlines 2 out before the end of the year.

The trailer shows fresh gameplay, including a showcase of several NPCs and the abilities of Phyre, the player character and a newly awakened Elder Kindred. Paradox also confirmed that Phyre will have the voice of a Malkavian detective named Fabian in their head; gamers can also play as Fabian during flashback sections to 1920’s Seattle for a neo-noir murder mystery.

Paradox also revealed the details about the game’s deluxe and premium editions, which both feature bonus cosmetics. The premium edition also includes the Lasombra and Toreador clans as options for Phyre.

Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 was originally supposed to release in 2020, with Hardsuit Labs as the developer. After an indefinite delay announced in 2021, Paradox revealed in 2023 that it was now being developed by The Chinese Room. Since then, the game has been delayed multiple times through 2024 to its current release date of late 2025.
