Nintendo today revealed that it intends to raise the price on the original Switch as well as several of its accessories and models in the United States. The 7-year-old console and its younger siblings will go up in price by as much as $50, depending on the model. This news comes swift on the heels of the company’s reveal that the Switch 2 successor console has sold just under 6 million units as of the end of June.
The company’s announcement reads: “Pricing for the original Nintendo Switch family of systems and products will change in the United States based on market conditions, effective August 3, 2025. These include Nintendo Switch – OLED Model, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite and select Nintendo Switch accessories.”
