EA announces a million have signed up for Skate playtest

Electronic Arts announced that over one million people signed up for the Skate playtest, making it EA’s biggest playtest sign-up of all time.

They also flagged that everyone who registered for the playtest will get an invite before the end of July. Invites are going out daily

Skate (EA spells it “skate.”) is a free-to-play, online, massive-multiplayer skateboarding sandbox set in the city of San Vansterdam featuring cross-progression and cross-platform gameplay. 

EA has said it is releasing Skate into early access at the end of summer in 2025 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, with mobile platforms (Android and iOS) to follow later.
