Delabs Games, a next-generation Web3 gaming studio, has raised a total of $17.2 million to date, including a recent $5.2 million funding round that combined its Series A—led by Hashed, TON Ventures, and Kilo Fund—with additional backing from strategic investors.
Delabs Games’ Series A round was led by Hashed — which also led the seed round — along with TON Ventures and Kilo Fund. Additional participation came from IVC, Taisu Ventures, Arche Fund (Coin98), Yield Guild Games (YGG), Everyrealm, and Jets Capital.
Strategic investors in this round include notable Web3 and gaming ecosystem leaders such as NFT collector and influencer Dingaling, digital asset investor Grail, and gaming accelerator Liquid X. Also joining are Gabby Dizon, cofounder of YGG, and Johnson Yeh, founder of Ambrus Studio.
The new funding will drive the ongoing development of AI-powered Web3 games via Verse8, an AI game creation platform, and support the launch of Delabs Games’ upcoming titles.
Delabs Games is led by co-CEOs Joonmo Kwon, former Nexon CEO and a prominent figure in Korea’s gaming industry, and JC Kim, a blockchain gaming innovator and Planetarium Labs co-founder, who joined as Co-CEO this month.
“This investment and our expanded leadership mark an exciting new chapter for Delabs Games,” said Kwon and Kim, in a joint statement. “With backing from some of the most respected voices in Web3, we’re building immersive games that combine fun, ownership, and AI innovation.”
This latest strategic round builds on Delabs’ prior momentum. In March 2024, the company had raised $12 million to date, following the success of its invite-only playtest of Rumble Racing Star.
With the new capital, Delabs Games plans to scale its development team, grow its global player community, and deliver groundbreaking titles that merge blockchain ownership and AI-enhanced gameplay.
Boxing Star X, Delabs’ latest game, is closing in on 2 million users globally and recently hit No. 7 in DappRadar’s overall games ranking, ahead of titles like Axie Infinity. And Ragnarok Libre, the next major release, has already surpassed 100,000 pre-registrations ahead of launch.
