CIA operative Russell Adler is back in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

Gamescom’s Opening Night Live debuts a whole level of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6

Activision showed an entire level of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 as the hero infiltrates a campaign event involving a U.S. Senator in Washington, D.C. It showed the demo at Gamescom’s Opening Night Live, hosted by Geoff Keighley.

Cold War’s CIA operative Russell Adler joins operator Troy Marshall and the pair shoot their way through the American security forces, bringing the Black Ops team in direct combat with fellow American soldiers. And so, yep, Black Ops is going to pit Americans against Americans. The Black Ops team gets the upper hand here using undercover work and a photo of a senator’s retina.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 involves undercover work in D.C.

Adler and Marshall take off on motorcycles as they try to escape with critical data, vaulting over cars and engaging in some serious Call of Duty style action. The game debuts on October 25, and the multiplayer beta gets under way on all major platforms at once on August 30 to those who preordered the game.

Then an open beta will start on September 6. I think the best scene in the mission is when the operatives are climbing up an elevator shaft and it explodes above them. They fall in slow motion and have to act fast to grab the sides to keep from falling to their deaths.
