Teslagrad followup World to the West is journeying to Switch

Rain Games announced today that it is bringing it indie action-adventure game World to the West to the Switch on January 18.

Last week, the studio announced that it is bringing its 2D indie hit Teslagrad to Nintendo’s portable/home console hybrid on December 7. World to the West isn’t a true sequel to Teslagrad, as it features new characters and different gameplay, but it does take place in the same world. Teslagrad has about 200,000 owners on Steam, according to SteamSpy.

This is another sign of indie developers flocking to the Switch. Nintendo’s new console is becoming a haven for digital games, with hits like Stardew Valley and Shovel Knight performing well on the system. The Switch has also hosts exclusive indie successes like Golf Story.

World to the West features a top-down camera and gameplay inspired by classics like The Legend of Zelda. It came out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on May 5.
