Bethesda has unveiled its first downloadable content (DLC) pack for its console and PC hit Doom. The Unto the Evil DLC pack will debut August 5 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Doom is a reboot of a 23-year-old franchise that kicked of the first-person shooter craze — some of the most popular games in the blockbuster $99.6 billion global gaming industry — and DLC is a way to keep fans engaged with it. The latest Doom debuted May 13. I considered it to be a first-class reboot of the original.

The DLC will cost $15. Bethesda teased the new action in a video below. Bethesda also said that Doom multiplayer fans will be able to enjoy a Double XP weekend from 12 p.m. Eastern on July 29 to 12 p.m. Eastern on August 1.

The DLC will offer:

  • Three new multiplayer maps: Offering, Cataclysm, and Ritual
  • A new player-controlled demon: Harvester
  • A new weapon: UAC EMG Pistol
  • New equipment: Kinetic Mine
  • New ways to customize your DOOM Marine, including additional armor sets, patterns, colors, and taunts
  • New hack modules
