Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5’s day-one patch is bigger than the game

Gamers are used to downloading updates and patches to improve their playing experience. But it’s rare to find an update bigger than the game it’s supporting.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5, releasing today on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One (and coming to PS3 and Xbox 360 in November), has a downloadable day-one patch clocking in at 7.7GB, reports Eurogamer. That’s actually a lot bigger than main 4.6GB game file, and it’s going to keep your Internet connection busy for a while longer than you might have expected.
