Oh, oh, it’s magic.

D3 Go and Wizards of the Coast announced today that the digital card game Magic: the Gathering is getting its own Puzzle Quest game. The Puzzle Quest series combines the gameplay of match 3 puzzle games with role-playing game elements. Magic: the Gathering — Puzzle Quest comes out this fall on the iOS App Store, Google Play, and the Amazon Appstore as a free download.

Magic: the Gathering is best known as a physical card game, but it’s had its share of digital releases, including the recent free-to-play Magic: Origins (which replicates the original game). Wizards of the Coast is clearly going after the lucrative mobile market, which market research firm Newzoo predicts will be worth $30 billion in 2015. The digital card game business is also becoming a huge market. Research firm Superdata said it was worth $1.2 billion last year.

The original Puzzle Quest came out back in 2007. It eventually released on multiple consoles and mobile. The series had a Marvel spinoff in 2013, which reached an ARPDAU (Average Revenue Per Daily Active User) of $1 in February.
