The PlayStation 4 is getting dedicated gaming keyboard and mouse controllers later this year.

The Tactical Assault Commander 4 from Hori is an officially-licensed wired keyboard and mouse combination that replicates PC-gaming inputs on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. It’s currently available to preorder in the U.K. from Amazon, retailing for around $134 (£86.35). The controller has an October 9 release date in the U.K. but isn’t confirmed for release in North America yet. We’ve reached out to Hori to ask about a U.S. release.

Microsoft’s gaming boss Phil Spencer discussed the possibility of keyboard and mouse support for Xbox One last week, saying it “isn’t far away.” With an officially-licensed product already available to pre-order, PlayStation 4’s keyboard and mouse future is looking a lot closer.

With big first-person shooters like Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and Star Wars: Battlefront coming out later this year, PlayStation gamers might hope to get a competitive advantage from a keyboard and mouse set-up. With dedicated buttons like Snipe, Quick, and Walk, the Tactical Assault Commander 4 — successor to the TAC 3 — is aimed at exactly that kind of hardcore gaming audience.
